TWO YEAR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR MAQUMBI (a rural area near Stanger, KwaZulu Natal)

1. TO PROVIDE COMPUTER SKILLS

1. Youth of Maqumbi lack computer skills as there is no facility in the area to train them.
2. Unemployed youth and scholars need computer services to do assignments, apply for education in tertiary institutions, apply for jobs etc.
3. Our plans are to set up a fully equipped computer centre to provide accredited training in computer skills.
4. Training will focus into alia in the following skills:
5. Microsoft
6. Excel
7. Ms Word
8. Using Youtube
9. Sending and receiving emails
10. Practical zoom / videos conferencing

External service providers will assist with setting of the computer centre. They will also train the first intake of trainees. Thereafter we will equip the local youth to be used as trainers in computer skills.

4. Inter personal skills

6. Mediation / negotiation skills
